Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of National Paint Operations to lead our nationwide operations, drive business growth, and ensure operational excellence across all projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to shape the future of our organization through strategic management, process improvement, and large-scale organizational change initiatives.
This includes managing Paint Production Managers, managing project execution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, optimizing operational efficiency, and leading a team of paint professionals. The Director of National Paint Operations will work closely with other executive leaders to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business goals.
Location: Remote – Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Nevada & Utah
We are open to candidates located in any of these states. This is primarily a remote position with extensive travel throughout the assigned territory. The position also requires occasional travel to ABR’s corporate office in Mesa, Arizona, for meetings, training, and other business needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the field operations team.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Mentor, develop, and retain top talent within the field operations team.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Project Execution:
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of paint projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed of industry regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
Operational Efficiency:
- Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Implement and leverage technology and tools to improve operational processes.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements.
Customer and Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Strategic Planning and Growth:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business development efforts.
- Drive innovation and stay ahead of industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial paint field operations, with at least 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale paint projects.
- Strong knowledge of paint methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and solve complex problems.
- Proficient in CRM software, construction management software, and other relevant technologies.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Work Environment:
This role requires regular travel to meet with sub-contractors, customers, and ABR Growth Strategists. The Director or National Paint will work in a dynamic environment that will involve in-office, remote, and travel work.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
