Senior Tax Manager - Construction

Job Title: Senior Tax Manager - Construction Sector
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote - must be within 2-3 hours driving distance for big company meetings)
Requirements: 10+ Years Experience in public accounting tax work

Position Overview
Based out of Phoenix, AZ, we are tight-knit public accounting firm with a strong emphasis in the construction industry and a focus on good work life balance. We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager with a deep understanding of the construction sector to lead our tax planning and compliance efforts. This role is essential for ensuring accurate tax reporting, strategic tax planning, and regulatory compliance while managing client relationships in these industries.

Key Responsibilities

Lead tax planning and compliance for construction and manufacturing clients
Conduct tax audits and support clients through the audit process
Stay updated on federal and state tax laws affecting the industries
Prepare and review financial reporting related to tax matters
Conduct tax research to provide strategic tax planning advice
Implement risk management strategies related to tax liabilities
Manage client relationships and provide exceptional client service
Ensure regulatory compliance in all tax matters

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred
10-12+ years of experience in tax planning and compliance, particularly in construction sector
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Experience in tax audits and financial reporting
Proven skills in tax research and strategic tax planning
Excellent client management and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
