Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Site Manager to oversee the operational and regulatory aspects of clinical trials at our research facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical trials management, excellent leadership skills, and comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards such as FDA regulations, ICH GCP guidelines, and HIPAA compliance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in advancing innovative medical research while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The Clinical Research Site Manager will be instrumental in coordinating trial activities, managing documentation, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in clinical research.

Duties

Lead and supervise clinical research staff, including coordinators, nurses, and laboratory personnel, ensuring adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
Oversee patient recruitment, screening, informed consent processes, and ongoing patient monitoring to ensure participant safety and data integrity.
Manage all aspects of clinical trial operations, including study initiation, conduct, and close-out procedures in accordance with FDA regulations and ICH GCP standards.
Review and ensure accuracy of study documentation, case report forms (CRFs), and source data in compliance with protocol specifications.
Coordinate with sponsors, CROs (Contract Research Organizations), and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and inspections.
Maintain detailed records of study activities, adverse events, and protocol deviations while ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.
Oversee clinical laboratory procedures such as blood sampling, phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, and laboratory data collection.
Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for data entry, management, and reporting to support efficient clinical trial workflows.
Ensure staff training on Good Clinical Practice (GCP), CDISC standards for data exchange, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
Monitor trial progress through statistical software tools to analyze data quality and adherence to timelines.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a clinical research environment with leadership capabilities in managing multidisciplinary teams.
Extensive knowledge of clinical trials management processes from patient recruitment to data collection and reporting.
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to various therapeutic areas involved in trials.
Proficiency in reviewing clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Experience with patient monitoring techniques including vital signs assessment and blood sampling procedures such as phlebotomy.
Familiarity with statistical software used for data analysis in clinical research settings.
In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH GCP guidelines, HIPAA privacy rules, and clinical laboratory practices.
Clinical development experience encompassing protocol review, site initiation visits, monitoring visits, and close-out activities.
Certification in GCP from a recognized issuer (e.g., ICH GCP certificate) is required; additional certifications related to CA or other relevant authorities are advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, sponsors, regulatory agencies, and study participants.
