Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) is looking for Developers – Medicaid Core Applications to perform programming, maintenance, documentation, and systems support based on customer business requirements. In this role, you’ll help develop reliable programs, databases, interfaces, and reporting solutions that support internal and external customers.
This is a hybrid work opportunity for Arizona residents. In this full-time role, you will maintain and develop systems and programs, participate in the Systems Development Life Cycle, support documentation, create reports, troubleshoot processing issues, and partner with stakeholders across IT and business areas. You will have the flexibility to work remotely 4 days a week and spend 1 day a week at our award-winning healthy campus in Phoenix. The in-office requirements are subject to change based on organizational need.

As a Developer – Medicaid Core Applications, you’ll get to:
Maintain and develop basic to complex systems, programs, databases, and interfaces using appropriate structured programming techniques and programming languages.
Participate in all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle, including code and system reviews for proper design standards, content, and functionality.
Participate in or lead projects, including developing time and cost estimates, modification schedules, presentations, and implementation support.
Support technology planning, project prioritization, training materials, workflows, manuals, and implementation of new procedures.
For Level 2 and Level 3 roles assigned SCRUM responsibilities, facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, backlog support, cross-team coordination, and team performance metrics.
Required technical skills include T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, .NET Framework, EDI, and Git/version control capabilities.
Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making, issue resolution, communication, prioritization, and relationship-building skills.
