Overview:
We are seeking a skilled metal stud framer to join our construction team. As a metal stud framer, you will be responsible for building interior walls and ensuring that they are properly secured and finished to local specs. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Duties:
- Measure and cut metal studs to fit specific dimensions
- Install metal studs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Properly secure studs to other support structures
- Prepare for drywall installation
- Clean-up after mess after each shift
- The ability and wherewithal to keep the jobsite clean / safe for all parties
- Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Experience:
- Proven experience as a metal stud framer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of stud framing installation techniques and materials
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation for moving and positioning the needed materials
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Basic carpentry skills for framing and preparing surfaces for drywall installation
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Experience with siding, metal building erection, concrete finishing, or other related construction tasks is a plus
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
