You will be responsible for preparing meals, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Duties

Assist in planning menus that meet dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of meals while maintaining consistency and quality
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service

Skills

Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide with knowledge of menu planning and food preparation
Strong understanding of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep
Hands-on experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Background in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on meal preparation and food handling
Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining flexibility for special requests or dietary restrictions
Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and other team members
