Immediate coverage need: NSPEKTR is seeking dependable contractors capable of covering Bay, Midland, and Saginaw counties. This territory currently has active inspection demand. Candidates with prior field inspection, appraisal data collection, construction documentation, insurance inspection, property preservation, or route-based field service experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
It is not hourly employment. Contractors are paid per completed inspection.
Candidates must be able to learn quickly, work independently, manage multi-stop routes, and submit completed reports within required deadlines.
About the Work
Most current assignments are exterior-only insurance underwriting surveys. Some assignments may include basic condition checks or additional property documentation depending on client needs.
Typical work may include:
- Traveling to assigned properties
- Taking photos
- Measuring property structures
- Completing basic property condition forms
- Completing sketches or diagrams
- Completing reports through online systems
- Submitting completed assignments by the required deadline
This is not code enforcement, real estate appraisal, or a traditional home inspection role. Inspectors document property conditions based on assignment instructions.

Assignment volume may vary based on client demand. The current goal is to build reliable coverage for contractors who can complete approximately 50–75 inspections per month when volume is available and accepted.
Work volume is not guaranteed, but this area has steady demand and is currently being built out for stronger coverage.
Compensation
This is paid per completed inspection, not hourly.
Typical inspection pay ranges from $6–$20+ per completed inspection depending on assignment type.
High-performing contractors may complete multiple inspections per route/day by planning efficient routes and completing assignments in nearby areas.
Actual earnings depend on assignment volume, accepted workload, routing efficiency, completion speed, and timely submission.

- Understands that pay is based on completed inspections, not hours worked
Requirements
- Reliable vehicle
- Valid driver’s license
- Active auto insurance
- Smartphone with a good camera and zoom capability
- Reliable internet access
- Computer or laptop access
- Printer access
- Measuring tape or measuring wheel
- Ability to use mobile apps and online reporting systems
- Ability to complete and submit reports by deadline
- Comfortable working outside and walking around residential properties
- Able to pass required background screening and onboarding requirements if selected
