Position Type: Full-Time
Typical Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. (Hours adjusted as necessary for tournaments, banquets, special events, and club functions.)
Position Summary
The Front of House Manager/Assistant General Manager/Event Coordinator/Maître d’ is responsible for leading all front-of-house operations while delivering an exceptional experience for members and guests. This position oversees the dining room, bar, banquet operations, member events, and service staff while assisting the General Manager with the daily operation of the club.
This individual serves as the primary hospitality leader, ensuring outstanding member service, operational excellence, successful event execution, and financial accountability. In the absence of the General Manager, this position assumes responsibility for the daily operation of the clubhouse.
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership & Club Operations
- Supervise all front-of-house operations including dining room, bar, banquet, and member services.
- Assist the General Manager with daily clubhouse operations.
- Serve as Manager on Duty and assume General Manager responsibilities during their absence.
- Lead by example while fostering a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
- Ensure club policies and service standards are consistently followed.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, hospitality, cleanliness, and member service throughout the clubhouse.
- Member Experience & Relations
- Ensure every member and guest receives prompt, courteous, and exceptional service.
- Welcome members and guests while promoting a warm, friendly club atmosphere.
- Build lasting relationships with members through daily interaction.
- Visit tables regularly to ensure member satisfaction.
- Resolve complaints and service concerns promptly and professionally.
- Promote upcoming club events and encourage member participation.
- Assist in recruiting and retaining club members through exceptional hospitality and engagement.
Dining Room & Bar Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of all dining and bar services.
- Supervise bartenders, servers, hosts, banquet staff, and support personnel.
- Coordinate communication between the kitchen, dining room, and bar to ensure efficient service.
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and club policies.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, ambiance, and appearance throughout all front-of-house areas.
- Assist with service during busy meal periods and special events whenever necessary.
- Manage reservations, seating assignments, and wait lists.
- Ensure VIP members and special requests receive exceptional attention.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Meet with members and prospective clients to plan weddings, banquets, golf tournaments, meetings, social events, and private parties.
- Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Coordinate all event logistics including room setup, décor, linens, audiovisual equipment, timelines, and staffing.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef, kitchen staff, and service team to ensure flawless event execution.
- Maintain the master club event calendar.
- Conduct post-event follow-up with members to ensure satisfaction.
- Develop creative events that increase member participation and club revenue.
- Track all event expenses and revenues.
- Coordinate billing for all special events.
Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
