Momentum3 – Benefits Consultant / Insurance Education Presenter (1099)
Type: 1099 Independent Consultant
Schedule: Flexible; most opportunities occur during standard business hours
Peak Season: September–December (Open Enrollment)
Travel: Local or regional travel may be required
Languages: English required; Spanish/Creole/Vietnamese highly preferred
About the Role
Momentum3 partners with national carriers and employers to deliver clear, engaging employee benefits education. As a Benefits Consultant, you will support onsite and virtual meetings during Open Enrollment and throughout the year. This is a part‑time, 1099 consulting opportunity ideal for professionals seeking supplemental income rather than full‑time work.
Consultants have full control over their schedules — you choose which meetings you want to support based on your availability, location, and interest. Some consultants prefer to take only a handful of meetings each year, while others support 50+ meetings annually, and many fall somewhere in between. This flexible model allows you to tailor your involvement to your lifestyle, travel preferences, and seasonal workload.
Your primary role is to educate employees or retirees on their benefit options, answer high‑level questions, and represent Momentum3 with professionalism. This position is strictly educational; there is no selling involved. We are especially interested in consultants with experience presenting UnitedHealthcare (UHC) plans or other major carrier offerings, as well as those who are comfortable adapting to various audiences and presentation formats.
