Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (RN) to lead our long-term care, assisted living, and home health nursing teams. This pivotal role involves overseeing all clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a compassionate environment that prioritizes resident and patient care. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in nursing leadership, extensive knowledge of long-term care regulations, and a passion for elevating quality standards across diverse healthcare settings. Duties

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for nursing services across all care units, including assisted living, memory care, hospice, and home health agencies.
Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to individual resident needs while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations such as Medicare and HIPAA.
Supervise nursing staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and shift management to maintain high-quality patient care.
Oversee clinical documentation review, medical records management, and ensure accurate record-keeping using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
Ensure regulatory compliance with long-term care facility standards and manage audits related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other governing bodies.
Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing resident safety, satisfaction, and overall health outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop effective care strategies that incorporate physiology and anatomy knowledge while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
Facilitate staff education on medical terminology, documentation review processes, and compliance with HIPAA privacy standards.

Skills

Proven nursing leadership experience within long-term care facilities or assisted living environments.
Extensive assisted living experience combined with knowledge of hospice care, home health services, acute care practices, and memory care programs.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements including Medicare regulations and long-term care legislation.
Demonstrated ability to manage large teams through supervising experience and administrative clinical supervision skills.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation management and patient record keeping.
Excellent communication skills to effectively lead nurse management teams and coordinate interdisciplinary efforts.
Deep knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures necessary for comprehensive nursing administration.
