Full Job Description

Job Summary
Northwoods Foster Services is a family group home with 3 male clients ranging from 25-60 years of age. All clients are independent, have no aggressive behaviors, and do not require any transfers. Our group home is located in Harris, MN. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with varying needs. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting them with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their independence. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. We are hiring with availability for the following positions:

EVENING SHIFT

Position : 12pm-8pm or 2pm-10pm Every other weekend

Please send me a message and indicate your availability to set up an interview. This home does have pets, so must be comfortable around pets and not allergic to dogs/cats.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
Provide patient monitoring to ensure the well-being and safety of clients at all times.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Document client progress and any changes in behavior or condition as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in direct support, home health, or long-term care is preferred
Cooking/cleaning skills
Med administration experience
Strong communication skills.
Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
Flexibility and patience is required
Ability to follow written directions for client care
Dependable with a strong work ethic
Certification in CPR/First Aid may be required based on specific client needs.
Must have valid drivers license.
Must pass DHS background check.
