Overview

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse (Churrascaria). This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen excellence and elevate the guest’s experience through innovative food presentation and impeccable service. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef and is skilled in traditional Brazilian churrasco preparation, rodizio-style service, whole-animal butchery, open-flame grilling techniques, and high-volume kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality.

Responsibilities

Lead all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency with authentic Brazilian flavors and standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration, training, and professional growth.
Oversee inventory control, food production processes, and cost management to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Enforce strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, sanitation protocols, and health regulations across all kitchen operations.
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with meticulous attention to dietary requirements and guest satisfaction.
Maintain high standards of hospitality by ensuring timely service delivery, managing shift schedules, and supporting front-of-house staff when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef is required.
Experience in Brazilian cuisine or a high-volume steakhouse is preferred.
Experience training and managing Gauchos or tableside meat carvers in a Brazilian churrascaria is strongly preferred.
Proven supervisory experience managing diverse kitchen teams in fast-paced settings.
Knowledge of food industry best practices including food safety, sanitizing procedures, and quality control.
Skilled in food handling, inventory management, and cost control strategies.
Experience with banquet service, catering events, and large-scale food production.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate teams and ensure seamless operations.
Familiarity with restaurant management principles including shift management, kitchen management, and food service coordination.
Ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining high standards of food presentation and taste excellence.
Knowledge of dietary accommodations and the ability to adapt menus for various dietary restrictions or preferences.
