Open, Develop, and Sustain Customer Accounts in Sheet Metal Fabrication

We are seeking an all-star salesperson, a true business development professional, to join our high-performing team and drive our customer acquisition to new heights. Position Overview

As our All-Star Salesperson – Business Development “True Hunter,” you will be responsible for identifying, opening, developing, and sustaining profitable customer accounts. You are the tip of the spear: a proactive, self-motivated sales leader who is at your best when finding and landing new business.

You’ll spend your days building relationships, seeking out fresh opportunities, and guiding prospects through our value-driven sales process. The ideal candidate is fearless in pursuit of new leads, highly communicative, and thrives on exceeding targets.

Key Responsibilities

· Prospecting Mastery (100% of the Role): Dedicate the majority of your time to identifying and qualifying prospective clients through cold calls, emails, in-person visits, and networking. Relentless lead generation is your top priority.

· Door Opener: Leverage your skills, creativity, and drive to open new customer accounts, often with clients who may not yet recognize their need for our solutions.

· Pipeline Development: Consistently build and maintain a robust pipeline of active, qualified opportunities to ensure you always have new deals in motion.

· Relationship Builder: Develop strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, nurturing opportunities from introduction through close and beyond.

· Solution Selling: Employ consultative and value-based selling strategies, uncovering customer pain points and positioning our sheet metal fabrication capabilities to solve real business challenges.

· Deal Closer: Drive the sales cycle from initial contact to contract signature, negotiating and closing deals that deliver mutual value for both the customer and the company.

· Account Development: Once landed, continue to develop and sustain accounts by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and repeat business opportunities.

· Collaboration: Work with estimating, engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless transitions from sales to production, delivering a world-class customer experience.

· Travel: Travel up to 25-50% of the time to meet with prospects and clients, attend industry events, and represent our company in the field.

· CRM Utilization: Meticulously document all activities, contacts, and opportunities in the company CRM system, ensuring real-time accuracy and transparency.

· Market Intelligence: Continuously gather intelligence on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, sharing insights to help shape our sales strategy.

· Personal Growth: Commit to ongoing learning and professional development, especially in sales methodologies, industry best practices, and product knowledge.

· Industry Experience: Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or sheet metal fabrication sales is highly desirable.

· Organized & Disciplined: You manage your time, territory, and accounts with discipline, using systems to maximize productivity.

· Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital prospecting tools.

· Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time.

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required based on experience and track record of sales success.
