Full Job Description

Salon On Main is a premier Aveda Concept Salon located right in the heart of historic Old Town Tomball, dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for every guest. We are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented, and reliable Front Desk Coordinator to be the face of our salon. This vital role directly influences our guests' entire experience, from their initial welcome to their final checkout, ensuring our reputation for excellence in the community is maintained.

Guest Experience & Sales (Primary Focus)

Warmly welcome and check-in every guest, offering beverages and ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage the full checkout process, including processing payments and strongly recommending Aveda retail products based on stylist notes to support at-home hair care.
Proactively ask every guest to pre-book their next appointment and manage the booking process efficiently.
Handle all guest concerns with kindness and patience, immediately escalating any issues or unhappiness to the Salon Manager.
Maintain a thorough understanding of all Aveda retail products, staying current on new items and promotions to drive sales

Scheduling & Communication

Manage the entire salon schedule using our POS/scheduling system, handling all new appointments, reschedules, and cancellations.
Serve as the main point of contact for all incoming communication, including phone calls, emails, and text messages.
Follow up on pending appointment requests, virtual consultations, and open tasks, keeping the Salon Manager informed of your progress.

Salon Maintenance & Opening/Closing

Perform daily opening procedures including unlocking the salon, turning on lights/music, preparing the POS/scheduling systems, and making fresh coffee/hot towels.
Manage salon cleanliness by tidying the reception and retail areas throughout the day and performing all closing procedures, including reconciling the cash drawer and securing the premises.
Process and fold laundry, stock hot towels, and keep retail shelves and back bar areas well-stocked.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

Being a friendly person is first and foremost! You must love interacting with people and offering support.
Proven customer service experience, preferably in a salon, spa, or hospitality setting.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Comfortable managing a fast-paced environment and prioritizing multiple tasks (guest service, phone calls, scheduling).
Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) and scheduling software is a plus.

Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
