Sage 100 Accounting Clerk

Structall Building Systems is a leading manufacturer and distributor of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), aluminum building products, and related construction materials. Our corporate headquarters is located in Oldsmar, Florida, with manufacturing and distribution operations serving customers throughout the Southeast.

We are seeking an experienced Sage 100 Accounting Clerk to join our Corporate Accounting team in Oldsmar.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on data entry and administrative support across all accounting disciplines and must have prior working experience with Sage 100.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys accounting, takes pride in accuracy, is comfortable working with a high volume of transactions, and is willing to assist wherever needed to keep the Accounting Department running efficiently.

Sage 100 experience is required for this position.

Position Overview

The Sage 100 Accounting Clerk will work closely with members of the Accounting Department and provide data entry and administrative support throughout the accounting function.

Rather than being limited to one area of accounting, this position will have exposure to and assist with multiple accounting disciplines, including:

Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Cash Receipts
Customer Account Maintenance
Vendor Account Maintenance
General Ledger
Purchasing and Receiving Documentation
Inventory-Related Accounting
Bank and Credit Card Transactions
Account Reconciliations
Month-End Accounting Support

The primary focus of this position is ensuring that information entered into Sage 100 is timely, complete, and accurate.

Primary Responsibilities

Enter accounting transactions accurately and efficiently into Sage 100.
Assist with Accounts Payable invoice entry and processing.
Assist with Accounts Receivable transactions and customer account maintenance.
Enter and apply customer payments and cash receipts.
Maintain vendor and customer information.
Assist with purchase order, receiving, and invoice documentation.
Enter General Ledger transactions as directed.
Assist with bank and credit card transaction entry and reconciliation.
Review accounting documents for accuracy and completeness before entry.
Research discrepancies and work with Accounting team members to resolve issues.
Assist with inventory-related accounting transactions and documentation.
Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting records.
Assist with account reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Generate reports and retrieve information from Sage 100 as requested.
Assist Accounting Department team members with special projects.
Provide backup support across accounting functions as needed.

Sage 100 Experience Is Required

This position requires previous hands-on experience using Sage 100 accounting software.

The successful candidate should be comfortable navigating Sage 100 and working within multiple accounting modules.

Experience may include:

Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
General Ledger
Cash Receipts
Purchase Order
Sales Order
Inventory Management

Candidates should be able to enter transactions, research information, navigate between modules, and understand how transactions flow through an accounting system.

Applicants without prior Sage 100 experience will not be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Sage 100 experience required.
Two (2)+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting clerk experience preferred.
Experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Strong computer and data-entry skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain accuracy while processing a high volume of transactions.
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional accounting education or coursework is preferred.
