Department: Manufacturing Engineer/ Lead CAM Programmer; reports to Director

Position Summary
In this position, you will oversee the manufacturing floor schedule and programming & setups for existing and new machining parts ensuring that all customer commitments are kept.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Work in CAD/CAM Environment preferably Solidworks/SolidCAM for new and existing jobs
· Scheduling machines and technicians per master schedule.
· Create fixture and review/order tooling for various jobs, manage tooling and fixture crib database.
· Create set-up instructions, monitor and improve setup time, write/edit new programs, improve existing programs to reduce cycle time, strive for minimal burr and low scrap.
· Participate in advanced quality planning, job progress, and quality review meetings
· Prepare and maintain work area schedules with individual departments
· Contribute to workflow prioritization and schedule of shop personnel and equipment
· Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
· Performing other duties as assigned
· Observe all safety rules & regulations
· Compliance of quality system requirements
· Support continuous improvement initiatives and focus on constant improvements
· Team lead for the setup and machinists to delegate tasks, plan manufacturing processes, monitor machined parts post processing schedules i.e. deburr, plating etc. in order to ensure our customer commitments are kept.
Desired Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Minimum 1-2 year team lead experience
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in CNC machining on either Lathe and/or Mill, blueprint knowledge, GD&T is a must.
Master cam, Solid Works/Solid CAM CAD/CAM software experience is a preferred.
Maintenance background added advantage.
Understanding of AS9100 Quality and State OSHA standards
Strong organization, leadership, verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to gather and analyze data, solid judgment and decision making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format
Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment
Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
