Full Job Description

This position will work with management to determine and set daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules. The scheduler will create and maintain production schedules to ensure company goals are achieved and that deadlines are met. Career path could lead to Inventory Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and distribute weekly production schedules and reports with urgency and accuracy
Review and update the weekly load schedule for chain assembly and machined parts manufacturing
Schedule the punch press department by utilizing productivity reports as well as downstream customer demand for components
Update and run weekly warehouse stock reports; issue jobs as required
Review and update weekly inventory for component parts; issue jobs as required
Coordinate production, sales, and purchasing to ensure alignment between supply and demand
Identify areas of continual improvement and streamline processes
Work with sales to schedule lead times, customer breakdown and expedite options
Utilize capacity planning and scheduling tools to use workers and resources in the most effective manner
Advise Management of upcoming risk/opportunities to production schedule and plan
Anticipate and preemptively solve production delays and bottlenecks
Support and recommend improvement items that ensure Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets are achieved
Maintain finished goods inventory levels and prevent shortages or overages
Support the implementation of engineering changes, trials, and new product launches
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Requirements and Qualifications:

3 to 5 years’ experience as a planner/scheduler in a manufacturing environment
Associate/bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Mgmt., Industrial Engineering or related field
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions
Proficiency with ERP and planning software (Experience with SAP or Lynq is a big plus)
Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
Excellent communications skills and proactive problem-solving skills
Ability to work with little supervision

Working Environment:

· This position supports a manufacturing plant

· Exposure to machinery, noise, and potential hazards

· No travel required

Physical Demands:

· This position may require some lifting

· Filing, bending, standing, reaching with hands/arms as necessary
