The Crust Pizza in Charlotte, NC is looking for driven individuals to work in our high-volume kitchen environment as Prep Cooks and Pizza Makers!

About The Crust Pizza

We are a family-owned restaurant in the Charlotte area in the Promenade on Providence. This is our second location in Charlotte. Our family of 5 moved from Naples, FL to Charlotte in 2017. We opened our first Crust Pizza in 2014 in Naples, FL and are still operating it today. We are proud to say that after almost 10 years, we still hold the title of one of Naples' most popular restaurants. Our unique house-made pizza, with its light, fluffy, crispy-bottomed crust and abundant edge-to-edge toppings, has earned us a loyal base of regular customers there. In addition to our pizza, we also offer guests oven-baked subs and fresh salads with house-made dressings. We offer all of this in a clean, beautiful, contemporary environment built from the studs out.

Our core principles are exceptional cleanliness, excellent quality of service, and excellent quality of food — in that order. We believe very strongly that if a restaurant is not focused on being clean, health code compliant, and well-maintained, it simply cannot exceed the expectations of our staff and guests. Whether or not a restaurant is clean also says a lot about how much its owners care about their stakeholders and patrons. We believe strongly in providing our employees with a beautiful, clean, and safe environment to do what they are hired to do, whether that’s making a pizza, doing the dishes, or serving a table of guests.

Starting wage is $16/ hr.
A very simple operation - our menu is only 1 page and the only thing under our hood is our oven. No grills or friers!

What The Crust Needs from You

You must be able to focus while handling large amounts of volume.
You must have a strong commitment to our guests' satisfaction and customer service.
You must be able and willing to learn and understand our product and service standards and always maintain those standards.
You must be capable of executing menu items with consistency and accuracy according to our recipes and standards.
You must comply with our cleaning policies and adhere to all company, state, and local health code standards at all times.
You must be a team player and be able to work well with others.
You must be able to handle working in an open kitchen concept, where your actions, language and image are always on display.
You must be able to read and understand English.
You MUST have full weekend, especailly Sunday, availability. Those without Sunday availability will not be conisdered.

Job Requirements

· Must have a minimum of 2 years kitchen experience working in a high-volume restaurant.

· Must show a stable work history that displays a commitment to the job at hand.

Physical Requirements

· Walk and be on your feet for up to 10 hours a day, when needed.

· Mobility necessary to clean above, below, and around heavy restaurant items.

· Lift / Carry ~10 pounds or less constantly.

· Lift / Carry ~25 to 50 pounds frequently.

· Lift / Carry ~100 pounds infrequently.
