Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to support scientific research, quality control, and laboratory operations. The successful candidate will conduct chemical and physical laboratory testing, analyze samples, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This position plays a key role in supporting research and development activities, environmental testing, and laboratory investigations.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform qualitative and quantitative laboratory analyses on solid, liquid, and gaseous materials.
- Receive, label, prepare, and analyze various laboratory samples.
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments according to established procedures and SOPs.
- Make accurate observations, document findings, and interpret test results.
- Assist scientists and researchers with experimental testing and validation of hypotheses.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record and maintain accurate laboratory data in paper and electronic formats.
- Prepare reports and communicate test results to the Laboratory Manager.
- Organize, store, and handle chemicals, reagents, fluids, and compressed gases following safety regulations.
- Monitor laboratory inventory and assist with ordering supplies and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Equivalent laboratory experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methods, scientific procedures, and laboratory equipment.
- Ability to follow SOPs, safety procedures, and scientific protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Skills
- English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Data entry and record-keeping accuracy.
- Laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
- Statistical calculations and laboratory reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a research, quality control, environmental, clinical, or manufacturing laboratory.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and quality systems.
- Experience handling hazardous materials and laboratory chemicals.
