$18.00 - $23.25

Position Highlights

Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

A Brief Overview

Accountable for coordinating the flow of patients through managing calls, schedules, supplies and equipment while assisting provider and nurses with various non-clinical responsibilities.

What you will do

Coordinates appointment scheduling and follows office scheduling policies/parameters, assisting providers and nurses with cancellations, fill-ins, double booking approvals, follow-up appointments, reminder calls, etc.
Responsible to prepare and maintain patient records in an orderly fashion and assure they are accessible to the provider.
Answers and routes calls promptly, alerting appropriate personnel to urgent messages/issues that require immediate attention.
Assist the provider and nurse with other support duties as time allows, including but not limited to: making copies, opening mail, completion of disabilities forms, complete DME forms, make referrals, running reports, and fax items as requested.
Provides information to patients/visitors within scope of knowledge or refers to appropriate individuals.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

High School or GED Equivalent and 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
1-3 years Healthcare office/administrative work
