About the Role
K&M Concrete Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to lead assigned concrete construction projects from estimate through closeout. This role owns the business side of assigned projects, including estimating, planning, financial performance, customer communication, documentation, and closeout.
The Project Manager / Estimator works closely with the Superintendent as a parallel project leader to build the plan, support field execution, protect margin, and deliver safe, predictable, and profitable results.
What You’ll Do
· Lead assigned projects from opportunity review and estimating through planning, execution, billing, reporting, customer communication, and closeout.
· Work with the Takeoff Specialist to review quantities, drawings, specifications, and scope while owning the final estimate.
· Build labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, logistics, risk, and schedule assumptions that support accurate budgets and profitable execution.
· Partner with Superintendents to align constructability, manpower planning, sequencing, procurement, equipment, production assumptions, and schedule performance.
· Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, procurement, purchase orders, vendor coordination, change orders, billing, cost tracking, forecasting, WIP reporting, documentation, and closeout.
· Protect project margins through proactive planning, forecasting, cost control, change management, and risk identification.
· Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, problem-solving, and follow-through.
· Mentor Interns, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers through coaching, project exposure, and daily example.

· The Project Manager and Superintendent operate as a unified leadership team.
· RFIs, submittals, billing, change management, forecasting, and closeout are timely and organized.
· Customers experience strong communication, trust, and follow-through after award.
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 3+ years of concrete construction project management and estimating experience.
· Strong understanding of concrete construction means and methods.
· Ability to read plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and construction documents.
· Experience managing budgets, forecasting, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing, and closeout.
· Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in both office and field environments.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Concrete Industry Management, or related field.
· OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
· Experience with commercial, industrial, agricultural, transportation, energy, manufacturing, data center, or mission-critical concrete projects.
· Experience using Bluebeam, Spectrum, ProCore, Microsoft Excel, and related construction technology.

This role is expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain financial discipline, and manage contract risk.
