Full Job Description

Jennifer White Insurance Agency is looking for an Insurance Sales Producer to join our team in downtown San Luis Obispo. Are you someone who enjoys connecting with people, solving problems, and helping customers make confident decisions? This is a sales position, but we don't expect you to spend your days endlessly cold calling. Our agency actively generates opportunities through community outreach, advertising, inbound calls, customer referrals, and purchased internet leads. Your job is to turn those opportunities into conversations, build relationships, uncover needs, and help people find the right insurance solutions.

What You'll Do

Respond quickly and professionally to agency-generated leads
Build relationships with prospective and existing customers
Identify insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage
Quote, present, and sell insurance products
Cross-sell additional policies to help customers better protect what matters to them
Follow up consistently with prospects and customers
Ask for referrals and help grow our presence in the community
Work toward individual and agency sales goals
Participate in ongoing sales, product, and professional development
Support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace

Compensation

Base Pay: $22/hour

In addition to hourly pay, producers have multiple opportunities to earn additional income:

New Sales: Commission equal to 50% of the agency's commission on qualifying sales
Cross-Sold Policies: Commission equal to 75% of the agency's commission on qualifying cross-sold policies
Life Insurance: $100 bonus per life policy sold
Monthly Profit Sharing: Additional bonus opportunities when agency and/or individual sales goals are achieved

Licensing Requirements

Already licensed? Great. Not licensed yet? You can still apply.

Candidates do not need to hold an insurance license at the time they apply. However, because this is a licensed insurance sales position, an unlicensed candidate cannot begin working in the role until the required pre-licensing education/study requirements have been completed and the appropriate insurance license has been obtained.

We're happy to consider candidates who are willing to put in the work to become licensed and begin their insurance career with us.

Once you're part of our team, we provide ongoing training and pay for required insurance license renewals.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
