Full Job Description

Established CPA firm located in Bridgeville, PA has an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional that enjoys working directly with individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations. While our firm provides traditional tax compliance services, tax planning and general accounting assistance we also work very closely with our clients as their trusted business advisors. We are looking for an individual who enjoys all aspects of business.

Typical duties of the position include: assisting clients with day-to-day accounting issues; preparation of individual, partnership and corporate income tax returns; preparation of quarterly income tax estimates; assisting clients in responding to various tax issues; conducting tax research for a variety of interesting business transactions and tax issues; preparation of financial statements; and working with clients on business and tax planning issues to help them meet their strategic objectives.

Applicants for the position should have the following background and qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in business with a major or concentration in accounting.

2. A minimum of seven years of work experience in the area of taxation, including tax return preparation, tax research and planning.

3. Current PA CPA license.

4. Proficiency in the use of tax return preparation software (knowledge of CCH ProSeries a plus but not required).

5. Knowledgeable user of QuickBooks accounting software (other small business software a plus).

6. Strong oral and written communication skills.

7. Strong organizational skills and able to meet deadlines.

8. Excellent computer skills; must be highly proficient in the use of Excel.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
