Job Overview

YTS Wealth Management is a rapidly growing financial services firm based in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a well-rounded finance professional to join our team in a hybrid Accountant / Financial Analyst role. This position offers a unique blend of corporate accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis experience within a dynamic and growth-oriented organization.

The Accountant / Financial Analyst will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will play a key role in supporting the monthly close process, producing accurate financial statements, enhancing management reporting, strengthening internal controls, and providing financial insights that support business decision-making.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing firm in a highly visible finance role with direct exposure to executive leadership. The Accountant / Financial Analyst will gain broad experience across accounting operations, technical accounting, reporting, forecasting, internal controls, audit support, and strategic analysis, making this an excellent role for a finance professional looking to transition out of public accounting to a role within a dynamic company. This role has the potential for significant growth over the next few years.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, variance review, and related close documentation.
Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules in a timely, accurate, and well-documented manner.
Support technical accounting matters, including researching accounting guidance, documenting conclusions, and assisting with implementation of accounting policies.
Develop and enhance management reporting packages, dashboards, and financial summaries for leadership review.
Assist with the annual budgeting process, recurring forecasts, and long-range financial planning efforts.
Perform monthly actuals versus forecast and budget analysis, identifying key drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended follow-up actions.
Partner with the CFO and business leaders to provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, operating decisions, and special projects.
Assist in the development, documentation, and improvement of internal controls, accounting policies, and finance department processes.
Support the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, coordination with external auditors, and resolution of audit requests.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve the accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and usefulness of financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
2–4 years of relevant accounting, finance, audit, or financial analysis experience.
CPA designation preferred with at least two years of public accounting experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP, monthly close processes, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial results, explain variances, and translate data into clear business insights.
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems, reporting tools, and large data sets.
Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Professional communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Physical Requirements

Standard office environment (30–40 hours sitting/week).
Active support (5–10 hours standing/bending/week).
Occasional lifting of office equipment (up to 40 lbs).

Compensation

$70,000 - $75,000 annually
