Full Job Description

Oxford Solutions is working with multiple manufacturing clients in the Pittsburgh, PA area seeking experienced CNC Machinists for direct hire opportunities. We are looking for machinists with strong hands-on CNC experience who can independently set up, operate, and make adjustments to CNC equipment in a production environment.

Openings vary by client, machine type, and shift, so candidates with experience across different CNC platforms and machining processes are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills to produce precision components
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and program adjustments
Use G-code and M-code to support machine setup and machining operations
Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances
Inspect completed parts using standard precision measuring equipment
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues
Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience
Experience performing CNC setups and running production equipment; experience limited to machine operation alone may not meet the requirements of all openings
Ability to read blueprints and work to specified tolerances
Working knowledge of CNC controls, tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and machining processes
Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipment
Ability to use G-code and M-code for setup or program adjustments

Experience with any of the following may be beneficial depending on the specific opening:

Haas CNC equipment and controls
Okuma, Mori Seiki, Kitamura, or similar CNC machine tools
Live-tooling CNC lathes
CNC milling and turning
Program editing or troubleshooting at the machine
Precision inspection tools and quality documentation
