Full Job Description

Concordia is hiring a Director of Food Services for our Bridgeville Team

The Director of Food Services is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the food service department and for assuring quality food preparation and service.

The Director of Food Services opportunity offers:

Qualifications of the Director of Food Services:

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED
ServSafe certification or other dining management certification preferred
Culinary degree a plus
Restaurant management experience a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be available to work some weekends and Holidays

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Director of Food Services:

Directs daily operations of multifunctional food service operations to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
Develops menus.
Supervises day to day work activities including hiring, orienting, coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, performance monitoring, performance appraisals, and staff scheduling.
Establishes and communicates high quality, compliance, safety, operating, and customer service standards.
Plans, prepares, and participates in regular meals, holiday meals, special functions and events.
Continually strives to improve efficiencies and cost savings by maintaining cost records, using budget guidelines and comparing pricing between vendors.
Puts systems in place to assure resident diets are consistent with physician orders and that new diet orders and diet changes are promptly implemented once received from nursing service or speech therapy.
