Customer Service Associate

Central Data Services, Inc.

(CDS), the largest locally owned employee benefit services firm in the greater Pittsburgh area, we’re looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Customer Service Associate to join our dedicated team in our downtown office.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Associate, you’ll be the friendly, dependable point of contact for our clients and their retirees—helping them navigate questions about their health benefits, enrollment, billing, and claims. You’ll use your problem-solving skills and positive attitude to ensure every interaction leaves people feeling supported and valued.

Don’t have benefits administration experience yet? No problem. We’ll provide hands-on training and the resources you need to build a strong foundation for a rewarding career in employee benefits administration.

What You’ll Do

· Process eligibility information, including new enrollments, changes, and terminations of coverage.

· Learn key aspects of benefits administration such as COBRA, carrier updates, participant communications, and claims processing.

· Provide exceptional customer service by assisting participants and employers with questions or concerns.

· Review records to identify and resolve discrepancies with accuracy and professionalism.

· Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate billing and assist with refunds or adjustments.

· Manage electronic data files and ensure information is entered and maintained correctly.

What You Bring

· Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree

· Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Prior experience in customer service or data entry preferred; benefits experience is a plus.

· Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities with a calm, caring approach.

· Ability to manage time effectively, stay organized, and think independently.
