Job Description
Ø Summary
Seeking applicants for a apprentice manufacturing position which includes the preparation of steel and aluminum using pneumatic tools, welders in the processes of commercial sign fabrication. This position involves operating various types of power equipment and production machinery.
Ø Responsibilities
· Set up materials and machines based on the job at hand.
· Read and interpret construction drawings.
· Operate machinery used in production process or assist machine operators.
· Assemble products as instructed by floor supervisor.
· Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards, per company policy.
· Keep work areas clean, organized, and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
· Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
· Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
· Prepare product for shipment/installation.
· Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment/installation manually (up to 50 lbs.)
Ø Qualifications and Education Requirements
Succession in a welding program or technical school, one year of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Willing to train a motivated canidate
Ø Preferred Skills
· Experience with steel and/or aluminum
· Experience with hand tools and power tools and welders
· Ability to consistently lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
