Visiting Angels of the Berkshires is currently searching for Caregivers/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Assistant/Companion to perform services in and around Pittsfield as well as several other areas including Great Barrington, Shelburne Falls, Williamsburg, Huntington, and Williamstown areas.

Responsibilities

Provide personal hygiene assistance such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
Assist with personal care and hygiene.
Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
Perform housekeeping duties.
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting clients during each visit.

Qualifications

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
Ability to perform job functions and willingness to learn
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day
Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
Let us know when you want to work and we will fill your schedule
Prior experience is beneficial but not a must, we will train you
Willingness to follow health and safety standards
Supportive and compassionate
