Job Description: The Sous Chef supports kitchen leadership in daily execution, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency. Additionally, the Sous Chef is accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations, exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions, works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget, supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced, responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports and must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities:

Oversee line execution during service and assist with food preparation as needed.
Support prep, inventory, purchasing, and ordering to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Support the Executive Chef; Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency, quality, and teamwork.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all regulations.
Assist in menu development, recipe creation, and decorative food presentation.
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards for taste, appearance, and portion.
Handle guest feedback and support staff in delivering excellent service.
Participate in scheduling, performance management, and operational problem-solving.
Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings.

Qualifications:

5–8+ years kitchen experience.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations; ServSafe certification.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Strong leadership and organizational skills
