Full Job Description

The Service Director (CBH) is directly accountable to the Vice President of Operations.

Provides continuous supervision and direction to the Children’s Behavioral Health (CBH) program within a defined geographic service area, the Specialized Autism Support Program (SASP), Immediate Diagnosis and Educational Assistance (IDEA) and the Adult Behavior Support Program.
Schedules and carries out regular supervisory sessions with Clinical Supervisors, Program Directors and Adult Behavior Support Therapists.
Conducts and monitors regular case staffings and information meetings with appropriate full time/part-time staff.
Ensures Agency/program policies and procedures are followed.
Provides for the continuity of services throughout the CBH service levels.
Establishes program procedures to facilitate operations.
Monitors the documentation of program staff for timeliness and quality of content.
Provides input into the preparation of the annual budget in a defined area and assists the Vice President of Operations in monitoring program expenditures through regular meetings and the filing of various reports to the central office.
Ensures staff schedules meet the needs of the children, youth and young adults served and accommodate their parents, legal guardians, or caregiver’s schedules.
Ensures regulatory compliance with staff qualifications and training requirements.
Monitors Agency compliance with Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) regulations.
Works with quality compliance department to ensure that the quality management plan is followed and monitored.
Participates in management discussions and reviews of program expansion.
Provides input for the formulation of program policies/procedures.
Develops and maintains liaison with inter-agency supervisory personnel.
Actively participates in management decisions regarding the admission, scheduling and termination of clients.
Participates in and assumes a leadership role for designated Agency/program committees, staff development activities and clinical consultants.
Attends and participates in scheduled staff development activities.
Completes annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
Maintains active liaison with Medical Assistance Programming to monitor service delivery systems in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Maintains active liaison with Managed Care Organizations and private insurance companies to ensure adherence with all necessary procedures and to ensure payment for services provided.
Ensures appropriate recruitment of staff.
Supervises non-clinical staff
Completes related tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Master’s Degree in mental health field, including but not limited to school, clinical, developmental or counseling psychology, special education, social work, professional counseling or behavior analysis plus three years experience working with children and family services, one of which was in a supervisory capacity.
