Full Job Description

The position of Medical Secretary at Eye Care Northeast is a very fast-paced and rewarding one. Eye Care Northeast is an exceptionally busy Ophthalmologist office in Putnam, CT. We see a range of patients and make the quality of their care our first priority. As a receptionist at our office you will work alongside our Ophthalmic Technicians and Scribes as well as the physicians in our practice to complete various tasks essential to patient care.

We are currently utilizing Modernizing Medicine EHR

Responsibilities and Duties:

Tasks will include, but are not limited to; scheduling appointments, answering phones, working and coordinating with coworkers for care of patients, checking patients in/out, balancing the office at the end of the day, some billing of a patient services, and various other tasks that may vary. Must be punctual and present for work every day and must display a positive attitude. Position is very fast-paced. The ability to multi-task with attention to detail is required.

Hours/Schedule Information:

This position is for the work week of Monday-Friday.

The hours for this position are as follows:

Monday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Tuesday: 8:30 am - close (approximately 5:30 pm)

Wednesday: 8:15 am - 5 patients left (approximately 4:15 pm)

Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Friday: 8:00 am - 5 patients left (approximately 4:30 pm)

Pay Commensurate with Experience
