Senior Benefits & Total Rewards Manager

Hybrid | Burr Ridge, IL | $100,000–$120,000

Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Benefits & Total Rewards Manager to lead its employee benefits and retirement programs.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership opportunity for a Benefits professional who enjoys ownership, strategic involvement, and partnering with leadership to deliver best-in-class employee benefit programs.

What You'll Do

As the company's Benefits subject matter expert, you'll lead and manage:

Employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and voluntary benefits
Annual Open Enrollment from planning through implementation
Benefits plan design, renewals, and vendor negotiations
401(k) administration, participant communications, and compliance
Form 5500 filings and annual 401(k) audits
Retirement plan vendor management and strategic plan initiatives
Leave Administration including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, military leave, paid state leave programs, and multi-state leave compliance
ADA reasonable accommodations and the interactive process
Benefits communications and employee education
Vendor, broker, and third-party administrator relationships
Compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, and applicable federal and state regulations

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has truly owned the benefits function, including:

Bachelor's degree preferred
Approximately 5+ years of progressive Benefits, Total Rewards, or Human Resources experience
Extensive Open Enrollment leadership experience
Benefits plan design and renewal experience
401(k) administration
Form 5500 preparation and coordination
Annual 401(k) audit experience
Vendor and broker management
Leave Administration (FMLA, ADA, disability, paid leave)
Multi-state benefits and leave compliance
Experience with self-funded and/or fully insured health plans preferred
HRIS experience and strong analytical skills

Experience leading retirement plan transitions or recordkeeper conversions (Fidelity, Voya, Empower, Principal, etc.) is highly desirable.

Compensation & Benefits

$100,000–$120,000 base salary
