Role Overview:
This position entails a diverse array of responsibilities that necessitate exceptional interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills, as well as sound judgment, creativity, and the ability to interpret contracts. Due to the intricate nature of procurement processes, candidates must demonstrate comprehensive application of innovative, budgetary, legal, administrative, and agency guidelines. Effective collaboration with professionals and executives, including legislative, legal, and budgetary personnel across multiple agencies—is required to manage funding-related matters. The role demands independent and creative problem-solving, advanced writing proficiency, and strong analytical abilities to address, resolve, and provide recommendations concerning various grant development issues. Reporting directly to a Budget Analyst, this position works closely with the CFO and Controller – Fiscal Operations.
Salary:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Certify the accurate reporting of agency financial data with respect to area of assignment.
- Assist controller in developing annual and biennium budget(s).
- Responsible for the monitoring of expenditures are met in accordance with grant provisions.
- Assist controller in monitoring expenditures on an ongoing basis to ensure budget compliance.
- Review contracts to verify funding source and adherence to annual budget.
- Assist in preparation of financial data for monthly and quarterly financial reviews.
- Work with contract compliance officer on all financial related matters.
- Assist in the development of performance measures for contracts and programs.
- Assist controller in developing and / or revising funding models for current or future agency programs.
- Analyze and research issues of interest for other program areas within the agency, identifying patterns and trends.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
