Full Job Description

CSU needs Directional Boring Operators

Excellent opportunity for a Directional Boring Equipment Operator to join the CSU, Inc. team. As the premier single-source provider of telecommunication projects, CSU is committed to exceeding our client's expectations by completing projects safely, on-time, and within budget, making us one of the most sought- after utility contractors in Indiana.

This position will include operation of directional boring equipment and transportion of materials & equipment for fiber optic cable projects. The Operator will demonstrate teamwork, ability to follow complex directions, a high skill with equipment operation, and the physical ability to perform the necessary manual labor.

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT AN EXPERIENCED DIRECTIONAL BORING OPERATOR - This is an immediate need - No others will be considered.

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE with operation of the following

➢ Horizontal Drilling Equipment
➢ Excavator
➢ Mini-Excavator

➢ VAC Wagon

➢ Pothole for Existing Utilities

Preferred experience with or willingness to learn operation of the following
➢ Backhoe
➢ Drop Plow
➢ Harley Rake
➢ Set Hand Holes and PEDS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to hear, understand, and respond to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Ability to stoop, bend, walk, stand, and climb.
Ability to reach and stretch.
Ability to lift to 50 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Current, Valid Driver's License required; CDL Class A with air brakes and tanker endorsement preferred. CSU offers paid CDL training and certification.
Minimum of (1) or more years of directional boring operator experience REQUIRED.
Experience with various handheld construction tools.
