Full Job Description

Small and growing Machine shop in Plainfield, IN is seeking to fill the position of Office Manager/Bookkeeper. Duties include answering the phone, greeting guests, and bookkeeping. Bookkeeping includes General Ledger Accounting, Inventory Management Bookkeeping, doing daily AR and AP, weekly payroll, and monthly journal entries. Skills needed are a minimum of 3 years of accounting and accounting software along with being proficient in Microsoft Office. Flexible working hours and compensation and benefits included for full-time. The hourly range for this position is $18-25 depending on the experience. Benefits offered for full-time employees are PTO after 6 months of employment and 401(k) with employer match after 1 year of employment. AFLAC and life insurance are available if desired.

Responsibilities:

Full Charge Bookkeeper
General Leger Accounting
Daily AR and AP
Weekly Payroll
Monthly Journal Entries
Greeting guests and answering the phones
Helping with Employer 401k

Skills

Accrual Accounting Experience is a plus
General Ledger Accounting
Inventory Management Bookkeeping
Sage 50 experience a huge plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is necessary.
