Full Job Description

We are seeking a experienced Digital Fabrication Manager able to work in a fast paced environment while keeping quality and attention to detail as the top priority. We are a fast growing architectural precast concrete company based in East Brunswick, NJ. We fabricate custom projects, collaborating with the country's largest General Contractors, Architects, and Designers.If you have a passion for architecture, design, and millwork fabrication challenges you may be the right fit for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Fabrication Manager sees projects from inception through completion by modelling and programming in Fusion 360 software for CNC machines and supervising the execution of the work to ensure meeting project specifications and deadlines.

Leverage your proficiency in Fusion 360 and other relevant software to create, modify, and optimize digital design files for mold and concrete design.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, project, and production managers to translate conceptual designs into precise fabrication instructions.
Coordinate with Project Management, Production Management, Mill Operator, and all fabrication staff to develop a strategic mold design.
Create fabrication parts list/ cut sheets for the building of the molds.
Create prototypes that test and troubleshoot potential designs.
Assist Estimating in reviewing complex projects to determine material costs and projected time to complete a project.
Oversee the operation of CNC machines, and other fabrication equipment.
Ensure accurate execution of designs by providing clear instructions and scheduling details to the fabrication team.
Create and generate tool paths for mold components for the Operator.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and propose creative solutions.
Conduct rigorous quality checks on fabricated components.
Maintain high standards of precision and craftmanship.
Collaborating with project leads to integrate digital fabrication seamlessly into project timelines.
Monitor progress, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital fabrication, preferably in architecture and construction industry.
Proficiency in Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Microsoft, and other relevant software.
Knowledge of Frog 4Dsoftware a plus.
Strong Knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment.
Experience programming and running 3 axis CNC machines.
Experience in 3D Modeling.
Able to work within tight timelines.
Proficient in solving fabrication challenges.
Able to read technical shop drawings.
Ability to accurately read tape measurements and blueprints and translate into fabricated products.
Working knowledge of wood and foam fabrication details a plus
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Job Type: Full-time
