Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Loan Processor to join our dynamic team in the financial services industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the loan processing workflow from application to closing, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in loan origination and a thorough understanding of underwriting processes, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.

Duties

Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained.
Conduct credit analysis to assess borrower eligibility and risk factors.
Collaborate with loan officers to facilitate smooth communication throughout the loan process.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and TILA guidelines during the processing of loans.
Prepare and review contracts, disclosures, and other relevant documents for accuracy.
Coordinate with escrow agents and other third parties involved in the loan process.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications related to each loan application.
Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to loans, interest rates, and payment schedules.
Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently.

Skills

Proficiency in FNMA guidelines and mortgage servicing practices.
Strong understanding of underwriting principles and processes.
Experience in loan origination and familiarity with banking operations.
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent credit analysis capabilities to evaluate borrower profiles effectively.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions.
