Title : Territory Sales Manager

Territory: Concentrated coverage of the state of Texas

Business Unit :HVAC/R

Position Summary

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth within assigned territory through contractor engagement, distributor development, training, and market expansion activities.

As Testo's primary field-based growth resource, the TSM creates contractor demand, increases distributor participation, expands product adoption, and accelerates market share growth across HVAC and refrigeration markets. The position works closely with contractors, manufacturer representatives, distributors, industry associations, and internal sales teams to execute growth initiatives and support strategic account development.

Success in this role is measured by revenue growth, contractor conversion, distributor engagement, opportunity development, and territory execution.

Key Responsibilities

Contractor Development & Demand Creation

Develop relationships with HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, TAB, and service contractors.
Conduct contractor visits, ride-a longs, product demonstrations, job site evaluations, and training events.
Drive product evaluations, competitive conversions, and contractor adoption of Testo solutions.

Distributor Development & Market Growth

Build relationships with distributor management, outside sales teams, and manufacturer representatives.
Expand Testo's presence within commercial refrigeration, food retail, cold storage, and service markets.

Training & Industry Engagement

Develop relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, ACCA, NEBB, TABB, RSES, and other industry organizations.
Gather market intelligence, competitive information, and customer feedback.

Territory Management

Develop and execute annual territory business plans.
Maintain pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity management through CRM.

Contractor & Distributor Development

Contractor conversions and evaluations
Pull-through sales generation

Qualifications

The ideal candidate combines technical HVAC/R knowledge with strong business development and relationship-building skills and is motivated by creating measurable growth through contractor engagement, distributor activation, and market development.

Experience

2+ years of HVAC/R industry experience.
Technical sales, contractor-facing, or field support experience preferred.

Travel

50% travel within assigned territory.
Participation in regional and national meetings, trade shows, and customer events.

Compensation

· Base Salary: 80,000.00

· Commission: 20,000.00

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
