Junior HVAC Mechanic (2–5 Years Experience)

Position Summary
We are looking for a junior HVAC mechanic with 2–5 years of experience, especially in HVAC maintenance, along with hands-on field experience in ductwork, piping, and mechanical work. The ideal candidate is strong with tools, organized, mechanically inclined, and capable of performing maintenance work safely, accurately, and professionally while continuing to grow in installation and service.

This role is best for someone who already has solid field fundamentals and real hands-on ability, and who wants to continue developing into a stronger mechanic through training and field experience.

What We’re Looking For

2–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance, ductwork, piping, mechanical, or related construction field work
Strong mechanical ability and solid field fundamentals
Comfortable using common field tools including drills, impacts, sawzalls, grinders, hole saws, and sheet metal tools
Able to read a tape measure, take accurate measurements, and lay out work correctly
Able to cut, drill, fasten, assemble, and install materials cleanly and safely
Familiar with ductwork, piping, fittings, offsets, and field installation
Basic understanding of refrigeration fundamentals, including the refrigeration cycle and common HVAC components
Able to identify common mechanical and electrical HVAC components
Organized, dependable, and able to keep tools, materials, and the work area under control
Must be able to safely and confidently drive a box truck
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs independently
Strong work ethic, good attitude, and willingness to learn
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Maintenance Experience Preferred

Candidate should be comfortable with:

performing HVAC maintenance and service support
cleaning blower wheels, coils, and drain pans
flushing drain lines and traps
changing filters and belts
inspecting electrical and mechanical components
assisting with maintenance on split systems, VRF systems, mini splits, rooftop units, boilers, and water heaters
identifying worn or dirty components that need attention

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Perform HVAC maintenance and assist with service support
Measure, mark, cut, drill, fasten, and assemble materials in the field
Assist with ductwork, piping, and general mechanical installation
Help fabricate and install fittings, offsets, and field modifications as needed
Clean and maintain system components during scheduled maintenance visits
Inspect equipment and report worn, damaged, or dirty components
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
Follow direction well while continuing to build field knowledge and independence
Represent the company professionally on jobsites and around clients
Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing materials and equipment
