Commercial Construction Project Manager

Base + Commission - Total Expected Earnings: $115-120K | Company Vehicle |

CertaPro Painters of Far North Texas

CertaPro Painters of Far North Texas is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager with 4-5 years of experience, to lead the field execution of large commercial, industrial, and multifamily painting projects throughout our Dallas-Fort Worth and Far North Texas territory.

This is more than a day-to-day production role. We need someone who can manage crews and job sites while also thinking strategically about scheduling, logistics, client communication, and profitability.

Important: Only apply if you have experience planning large projects and ensuring their profitability.

The right person will be equally comfortable communicating with painters and foremen in the field and meeting with property managers, construction managers, and other professional clients. You must be able to represent our brand well, make real-time decisions, and follow through on every commitment.

This is a field-based position with significant local driving. You will spend most of your time visiting active job sites, working with crews, meeting with clients, and keeping projects moving from startup through closeout.

Compensation

Target earnings: $115-120K/year which includes
$85,000 base salary + commission
Target commission approx $30,000

What You’ll Do

Take ownership of day-to-day field execution from job startup through final closeout.
Start projects, visit active job sites regularly, monitor progress, and close projects properly.
Create detailed mobilization and execution plans for complex, multi-phase projects.
Work backward from completion dates to develop realistic schedules, daily production goals, milestones, and contingency plans.
Coordinate foremen, painting crews, subcontractors, equipment, access requirements, and site logistics.
Arrange specialized equipment such as lifts and scaffolding when required.
Track project schedules and make adjustments when site conditions, client needs, or other trades affect the original plan.
Serve as the client’s primary operational contact after the project is handed off by the sales team.
Provide clear, timely, and professional verbal and written updates to clients.
Coordinate details such as site access, parking, work areas, tenant notifications, and project sign-offs.
Address client concerns professionally and resolve field issues before they affect schedule, cost, or the relationship.
Monitor labor productivity, equipment expenses, material usage, daily-pay invoices, and job costs.
Review gross-margin and transaction reports, identify anomalies, and take corrective action when needed.
Understand project profitability

Training and Growth

The first six months will include structured training, observation, and hands-on learning with the existing team. You will learn our crews, customers, systems, vendors, standards, and approach to managing commercial projects.

Once fully trained, you will have meaningful autonomy to organize the role, improve processes, and develop systems that help the commercial division continue to grow.
