TX Claims Supervisor (Non-Standard Auto)
We are seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor to lead a team of auto claims adjusters in our non-standard auto insurance operation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can coach adjusters, support complex claim decisions, monitor quality and workflow, and help deliver a fast, fair claims experience. Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required. Summary: Lead, coach, and support a team of auto claims adjusters, serving as the primary point of contact for claim guidance, workflow oversight, and performance support. This role partners closely with claims leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality claim handling.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead, coach, and develop a team of auto claims adjusters to support strong performance, claim quality, and timely resolution.

· Monitor assignments, workloads, and claim activity to ensure service, productivity, and compliance expectations are met.

· Provide guidance on coverage, liability, investigation strategy, negotiation, and settlement decisions, including complex or escalated claims.

· Review claims for coverage and exposure issues, identify gaps in investigation, and recommend next steps when additional development is needed.

· Support the team in handling communications with insureds, claimants, attorneys, witnesses, and other carriers.

· Escalate potential fraud, recovery opportunities, severe losses, or other significant claim issues to claims leadership as appropriate.

· Partner with management on hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing development of the claims team.

· Help ensure claims are handled in accordance with company guidelines, state regulations, and fair claims practices.

· Contribute to a positive customer experience by supporting fair, timely, and professional claim handling.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Directly supervise 3 or more employees within the Claims department.

· Manage hiring, onboarding, training, work allocation, coaching, and performance discussions.

· Address employee concerns, resolve problems, and support a high-performing team culture.

Qualifications:

· Adjuster license required.

· Prior experience in auto claims handling required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

· Strong knowledge of coverage, liability, investigation, negotiation, and settlement practices.

· Ability to coach and support a team in a fast-paced claims environment.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.

· Spanish language skills are a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; prior experience with claims systems such as OSIS is a plus.

Compensation:

Starting salary at $80,000
