Rate and Compensation

The successful candidate may be offered a position in one of the following classifications Park Equipment Operator or Senior Park Equipment Operator.

The target hourly rate for the (position title) is between $19.75 - $23.70; depending on qualifications.

The target hourly rate for the (position title) is between $21.77 - $26.13; depending on qualifications

Job Details

Help create the fields where Plano plays! The City of Plano is seeking skilled, dependable, and motivated professionals to join our Parks and Recreation team in Athletic Fields Maintenance as a Park Equipment Operator or Senior Park Equipment Operator, depending on qualifications and experience. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain and prepare athletic fields and surrounding areas so they are safe, attractive, and ready for practices, games, tournaments, and special events. You’ll operate light and heavy equipment, mow and edge turf, maintain landscaping, set up goals, nets, screens, and other sporting equipment, and perform a variety of construction and maintenance projects throughout our athletic facilities. At the Senior level, you’ll take on more complex technical responsibilities, help coordinate and lead work activities, and use your experience to solve challenges in the field. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in creating exceptional playing conditions, and want to see the results of your work enjoyed by athletes and families throughout the community, bring your skills to the team that keeps Plano ready to play!
