Job Summary

Unique Software Development is looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to support the development and improvement of custom software applications for clients across different industries.

This position is a good opportunity for an early-career developer who wants hands-on experience with application development, APIs, databases, testing, troubleshooting, and modern software technologies.

You will work with experienced developers and other project team members throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Assist with developing and maintaining custom software applications.
Write, test, debug, and improve application code.
Help develop frontend and backend functionality.
Assist with API development and integrations.
Work with databases and application data.
Troubleshoot software issues and correct defects.
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
Assist QA teams with application testing.
Help reproduce and resolve reported software bugs.
Implement features based on technical specifications.
Collaborate with designers and developers on application interfaces.
Maintain technical documentation when required.
Participate in development meetings and project planning.
Follow established coding, testing, and version-control practices.
Learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Internship or entry-level software development experience.
Experience building a school, personal, freelance, or portfolio project.
Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
Basic understanding of APIs and web services.
Familiarity with Agile development practices.
Experience with automated or manual software testing.
