Full Job Description

Description: Operations Manager will be the first point of contact in receiving potential clients and parents, handling incoming calls and communicating with parents as necessary. Office manager will maintain all aspects of staff scheduling, assist in the onboarding process for new hires, and conducting interviews.

Responsibilities:

1. This individual will coordinate and manage the day-to-day scheduling for staff and clients and maintain all aspects of staff and client scheduling.

2. This individual will conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, assist in preparing and collecting onboarding staff documentation, addressing and delivering any feedback to RBT’s/BT’s as necessary.

3. This individual will effectively communicate with parents via phone and/or email to communicate client illness, scheduling changes, etc.

4. This individual will answer incoming calls, file documentation, welcome visitors, and assume other duties assigned by Clinical Director.

5. This individual will work directly with clients as an RBT as needed.

6. This individual will coordinate pick-up and drop-off with parents and OT/ST therapists as well as assist ABA staff with getting in and out of the building.

7. This individual will also assist with challenging behavior, as needed.

8. This individual will scan documents such as -insurance documents, client documents, receipts, etc.

9. This individual will be responsible for supporting staff with the organization and upkeep of clinic equipment.

10. This individual will log client tardies at drop of and pick up.

11. This individual will coordinate with parents or school staff to send weekly, monthly, quarterly, biweekly, or daily school excuse notes.

12. This individual will be responsible for any other duties assigned by the Clinical Director and/or Office Administrator.

13. This individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Registered Behavior Technician Service Description

Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Description: RBT services are direct activities related to the delivery of behavior analysis services and are designated in and required by a behavior analysis service plan. Activities include monitoring of behavior analysis services, the implementation of behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors, data collection and display (e.g., graphics) as authorized by a recipient’s behavior analysis service plan and assist the behavior analyst in training of caregivers and/or staff.

Major Duties: RBTs working with Step by Step: ABA (SBS) are expected to abide by the policies and procedures set forth by the organization. The overriding goal of Step by Step: ABA services is to enhance the autonomy and quality of life of individuals, their families, and others who support them. Each SBS client has a behavior support plan; it is the responsibility of the RBT to work with others to fully implement strategies within this plan and achieve the desired outcomes. Specific types of support include assisting in restructuring environments and activities to support the individual’s behavior, teaching skills that allow the individual to communicate his or her needs and/or function more effectively, and working with caregivers to manage consequences for the individual’s behavior to maximize reinforcement for positive behavior under the supervision of the behavior analyst. RBTs do not provide babysitting or respite services.

Responsibilities: RBTs working with SBS are required to do the following:

1. Adhere to and support Step by Step: ABA policies and procedures, facilitating their application with individuals and families.

2. Review behavior plans and other relevant (e.g., instructional) materials developed by behavior analysts for clients in order to facilitate consistent implementation and monitor outcomes appropriately.

3. Complete daily soap notes (related to implementation of the behavior intervention plan) on the Rethink system for the behavior analyst and families to review.

4. Support the family and other caregivers in implementing the behavioral support strategies in the plan and collecting data.

5. Assist the behavior analyst in developing reports and conducting assessments upon request.

6. Participate in meetings as requested by the behavior analyst.

Documentation Requirements: Prior to providing RBT services through Step by Step: ABA must complete the required paperwork detailed in the policies and procedures and new hire checklist (e.g., background checks, application, copies of identification).

Supervision: All services are overseen by the Behavior Analyst and/or Program Manager. RBTs receive regular oversight as indicated by the behavior plan (i.e., at least every other week or as needed, involving direct observation and review of data) from the behavior analyst and/or program manager supervising the cases to which they are assigned. RBTs also maintain supervision requirements in accordance with the BACB: Each RBT must obtain ongoing supervision for a minimum of 5% of the hours spent providing applied behavior-analytic services per month. Supervision must include at least 2 face-to-face, synchronous contacts per month, during at least one of which the supervisor observes the RBT providing services. In-person, on-site observation is preferred. However, this may be conducted via web cameras, videoconferencing, or similar means in lieu of the supervisor being physically present. Although only one observation is required, the BACB encourages direct observation of service delivery as much as possible. At least 1 of the 2 supervision sessions must be individual (i.e., RBT and supervisor), but the other may occur in a small-group meeting.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
