Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator and Office Administrator to join our dynamic team. This vital role combines the responsibilities of maintaining a safe and compliant workplace environment with efficient administrative support. The ideal candidate will champion safety initiatives, ensure adherence to environmental and occupational health regulations, and streamline office operations to foster a productive, secure, and compliant workspace. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety standards while supporting daily administrative functions.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and environmental management systems to promote workplace safety and health.
Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with environmental regulations, hazardous materials handling, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) standards, and other regulatory/legal requirements related to production environments.
Coordinate employee safety training sessions on topics such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), first aid, hazardous materials regulations, and safety regulations to enhance workplace preparedness.
Manage workers' compensation claims processes, ensuring proper documentation, report writing, and adherence to workers' compensation law.
Oversee office administration duties including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, maintaining records of safety reports, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections or audits related to environmental health and occupational safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
Certifications in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and hazardous materials handling are highly preferred.
Knowledge of environmental health principles, environmental regulatory compliance, and occupational health standards.
Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS) and regulatory compliance frameworks applicable to production environments.
Strong report writing skills coupled with the ability to perform root cause analysis on safety incidents or hazards.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to employee health (regulatory compliance standards) and workplace safety initiatives.
