Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP RAR Functional Analyst to provide post-go-live production support for SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) within a subscription billing modernization environment. The consultant will support the migration from a legacy platform to SAP and ensure stable, accurate, and compliant revenue accounting operations.
The role will focus on SAP RAR processes including revenue contract creation, event processing, allocation, posting, revenue recognition, and reconciliation across wholesale, retail, trial, and subscription business scenarios.
The consultant will collaborate closely with SAP OTC, General Ledger, ABAP, integration, business, and finance teams to investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, resolve incidents, and support ongoing enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide functional production support for SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
- Monitor and resolve issues related to revenue accounting events and contract creation.
- Investigate failures involving revenue allocation, accounting postings, contract updates, fulfillment events, and revenue recognition runs.
- Analyze end-to-end transaction flows across wholesale, retail, trial, subscription enrollment, and renewal scenarios.
- Perform functional triage and root-cause analysis of SAP RAR defects.
- Coordinate technical fixes with ABAP, development, and integration teams.
- Collaborate with SAP OTC and General Ledger teams to resolve upstream billing and downstream accounting issues.
- Support month-end and period-end revenue recognition activities.
- Reconcile source events, billed transactions, and SAP RAR accounting results.
- Identify configuration, mapping, master data, and transaction-processing issues affecting revenue accounting.
- Analyze integration issues between SAP RAR and upstream or downstream systems.
- Support testing for defect fixes, enhancements, transports, and production changes.
- Perform functional validation and regression testing following system changes.
- Document issue patterns, root causes, workarounds, resolutions, and support procedures.
- Assist business and finance users with incident resolution and transaction analysis.
- Support audit-related requests and provide required revenue accounting documentation.
- Provide functional guidance to development, integration, and application support teams.
- Participate in production deployment and post-release validation activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong functional experience with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
- Hands-on experience providing SAP RAR production support.
- Strong understanding of revenue contract creation and management.
- Experience with revenue accounting events and fulfillment processing.
- Experience with revenue allocation and posting processes.
- Experience with revenue recognition runs and reconciliation.
