Full-Cycle Hospitality Accountant

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Job Type: Full-Time | In Office

About Knallhart Management Group

Knallhart Management Group is a rapidly growing hospitality management company overseeing restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, entertainment concepts, hotels, and managed assets throughout Florida. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Full-Cycle Accountant with a proven background in hospitality accounting.

This is not a general accounting position. We are specifically seeking someone who understands the financial complexities of the hospitality industry—including restaurants, bars, nightlife, quick-service concepts, and multi-unit operations. The ideal candidate has worked in hospitality accounting before and can step into a fast-paced environment with minimal learning curve.

This is a fully in-office position based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Position Summary

The Full-Cycle Accountant will oversee the complete accounting cycle for multiple hospitality entities, including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis. This individual will work closely with operations and ownership to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of hospitality businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple hospitality concepts, including restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, quick-service concepts, hotels, and managed assets.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
Record journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Review and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory-related accounting.
Analyze profit and loss statements, balance sheets, prime costs, labor, and operating expenses.
Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues proactively.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and ownership reporting packages.
Ensure expenses are coded accurately and consistently across multiple entities.
Support annual audits and tax preparation.
Continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Partner with operations leaders to provide meaningful financial insight and support decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
Hospitality accounting experience is required. Candidates must have experience supporting restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), hotels, or hospitality management companies.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with hospitality accounting systems such as Restaurant365 (R365), MarginEdge, Toast, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
Experience preparing monthly financial statements independently.
Experience managing accounting for multiple entities and/or multi-unit hospitality operations is highly preferred.
Ability to manage multiple entities and meet strict month-end deadlines.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
