Veterinary Practice Manager (In-Person Role)

West Delray Veterinary is actively seeking a dedicated, full-time Veterinary Practice Manager to join and grow with our dynamic team. This is an in-person leadership role focused on supporting our team members and actively enhancing our workplace culture across both of our practices—West Delray Veterinary and Mindful Veterinary Care in Lake Worth.
Established in February 2020, West Delray Veterinary has rapidly expanded to include a second location in Lake Worth, Mindful Veterinary Care. As full-service, integrative small animal practices, we are committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients—while also building a workplace where our teams feel supported, valued, and empowered.
This role is central to fostering a positive, engaged, and high-performing team environment. The Veterinary Practice Manager will work closely with leadership and staff at both locations to strengthen team cohesion, support employee development, and ensure smooth, efficient daily operations.
Position Overview
The Veterinary Practice Manager plays a key role in overseeing hospital operations, team leadership, and client service standards. This individual will partner with the Practice Owner, Operations Manager and Medical Directors to ensure operational excellence while cultivating a strong, positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Veterinary practice management experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience
- Strong understanding of veterinary hospital operations and workflows
Core ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Culture
- Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable workplace culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members across both locations
- Partner with leadership to improve engagement, retention, and morale
- Address employee concerns and support conflict resolution
Staff Management & Human Resources
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Support supervisors with coaching and disciplinary actions
- Manage scheduling oversight, PTO tracking, and payroll coordination
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Maintain employee records and update the Employee Handbook
Hospital Operations
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality patient care
- Evaluate and improve workflows, protocols, and client experience
- Ensure consistency in standards between both locations
- Support inventory, vendor coordination, and general hospital functionality
Financial & Production Management
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting and financial goals
- Monitor hospital performance, production, and key metrics
- Manage expenses and approve team-related reimbursements
- Support growth initiatives and operational scalability
Communication & Problem Solving
- Maintain clear, professional communication with staff and leadership
- Utilize a proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
