Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Junior Tax Specialist and become a vital contributor to our tax compliance and financial reporting efforts. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in tax law, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements while supporting a variety of financial services. You will work closely with senior tax professionals to prepare and review tax returns, ensure adherence to tax regulations, and assist with complex tax projects across diverse client portfolios. If you’re passionate about finance, eager to learn, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced environment, this position is perfect for you!

Duties

Assist in the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Help maintain detailed records of tax filings, audits, and regulatory reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks
Collaborate on financial report writing and interpretation to support client advisory services related to mergers & acquisitions, asset management, and financial planning.
Participate in client communication efforts by providing clear explanations of tax concepts, reporting requirements, and compliance procedures.
Support regulatory compliance accounting activities including balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and regulatory reporting tasks.
Prepare and assist with Form 1040, 1064, 1120-S, and Schedule C tax returns.
Assist with account reconciliations and banking-related needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant coursework or internships in public accounting or tax are highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax law, and technical accounting standards.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software tools is a plus.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and perform account reconciliation accurately.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and professionally.
Attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving within fast-paced environments involving audits or mergers & acquisitions.
